Front-End Loading: A Morning Prayer Sonnet for Artists

Before the brush can kiss the waiting page,
Before the light ignites the waking hue,
I turn my heart, my craft, my coming stage
To Him who shapes all forms, all good, all true.
The Spirit’s breath once filled Bezalel’s hand,
First artist crowned with wisdom’s holy flame;
So too our works, though wrought in earth and sand,
Find lasting life when offered in His name.
Prayer is the key that sets the colors free,
It tunes the soul, aligns each stroke with grace;
Front-end we load our hearts intentionally,
That peak performance shines in time and space.
O students, start your day as I have shown—
With God as light, your art becomes His own.
